Veteran composer/producer Ryuichi Sakamoto returns to North American in support of his latest release, 'playing the piano & out of noise.' Sakamoto's career has touched many genres, from classical works to film scores, opera, synthpop and dance tracks. His early work as a member of Yellow Magic Orchestra led to his first album as a solo artist, 'The Thousand Knives of Ryu-ichi Sakamoto' in 1978. His discography includes over 40 albums, soundtracks and compilations, with an Academy Award for his contribution to the score for 'The Last Emperor.'
