cuisine. Join us for an unforgettable performance by Vladimir Gerts, major
Russian opera bass singer, a feast of Russian-style delicacies, Russian-style
cocktail bar and a dance party.
About Vladimir Gerts
Vladimir Gerts is a unique figure among
Russian bass singers. He is equally comfortable performing classical repertoire
as well as Russian folk and popular songs. A graduate of Moscow State
conservatory, Vladimir Gerts was invited to join the famous Bolshoy Theater in
his mid-twenties. He performed as lead bass singer in famous operas by
Prokofiev, Rossini, and Verdi. Later on as a soloist of Moscow State
Conservatory Vladimir Gerts turned to chamber music. With his chamber music
program Vladimir Gerts gave tours in Russia, Europe and the US. He is the
founder of some major international music festivals including Russian Winter
Festival in Toronto, and International Pushkin Music Festival in Moscow.

About Irina Koulikova

Russian
pianist Dr. Irina Koulikova has performed in the most prestigious venues both
nationally and internationally and has toured throughout Russia, Europe, Greece
and USA. She appeared with Earino Festival in Edessa, Greece, with
The Piano Forum at the Rowan University in New Jersey, USA and in recitals
at the Small Hall and the Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory in
Moscow, Russia, Ward Recital Hall at the Catholic University of America in
Washington DC. Dr. Irina Koulikova is an author of numerous published articles
and research works. She has also participated as a lecturer in many
international music conferences. She had a lecture titled The Founding of the
Moscow Conservatory and the Famous Pianists-composers who have taught here in
Northern Virginia Music Teachers Accociation (Arlington, USA, 2006). She
participated at the Russian American Symposium "Preparing for the next
decade of US exchanges with Russia" sponsored by the American Embassy in
Russia and US Department of State. Most recently she participated at the
Symposium Musical Education in XXI Century (Taiwan, National Taipei
University of Arts, at December 7 14, 2006). In December 2003, Dr. Koulikova
was named a Honored Artist of Russia.

Alexander Vvedenskiy (oboe) is a young talanted Russian musician, recipient of the Rostropovich Foundation scholarship since 2005. He has performed in concert halls of Moscow, Paris, Copenhagen and Stockholm, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
Festival of Young Soloists, received a 2003 Diploma of the International Russian Rotary Children Music Competition (Moscow), 2005 Diploma of the "Nutcracker" International TV competition (Moscow), 2007 Grand-Prix of the International Competition "Wiener-Klassik" (Austria), and Special Prize Mozart-Wunderkind. Alexander has been a recipient of the Rostropovich Foundation scholarship since 2005. He has performed in the concert halls of Moscow (Russia), Paris (France), Copenhagen (Denmark), and Stockholm (Sweden), has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and has also performed with the Dmitry Orlov's Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Kremlin Chamber Orchestra, A. Rudin's Musica Viva" Chamber Orchestra, and Vladimir Spivakov's "Virtuosos of Moscow" Chamber Orchestra.
