Runaround Kids are a 3-piece from Wakefield. They play fast, noisy pop songs. Following performances at the Leeds and Reading festivals, they released their debut 7" single' No Dreams/Falling Into Better Hands' in September, which has been championed by Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music). This led to playing at the inaugural Constellations festival, Live At Leeds, Long Division, Eurocultured, Tramlines, and supporting the likes of Jeffrey Lewis, Johnny Foreigner, Pulled Apart By Horses, Dinosaur Pile-up and Shrag. Their debut album Linked Arms is released 8th August.

The Spills are a 4-piece band from Wakefield. Last year the band released the 7 single Im Scared I Might/Faux Pas Ha Ha, produced by James Kenosha (Dinosaur Pile-up, Pulled Apart By Horses, Grammatics), playing with bands such as Sky Larkin, Danananaykroyd, Dinosaur Pile-up, Copy Haho and Lets Wrestle as well as performing at Sheffields Tramlines festival. This year the band returns with Smoke Signals, their first extended player to date. A slot at Live At Leeds as well as attention from XFM and BBC 6Music sees the record starting to earn the band the praise they deserve.
