The Dead Syndicate went into hiatus after the death of founder member guitarist Jay "Decay" Nowak but eventually started to breathe again when guitarists Brian Magee and John Styers joined the other founder member, Michael Arcane, in 2004, followed shortly afterwards by vocalist Donny Doss who gave them their "voice."
