Rufus Wainwright Goes to the Opera! June 28, 2011

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright is joined by pianist Kevin Murphy and a cast of classical singers for a special performance of excerpts from the Wainwright-composed opera, Prima Donna, which receives its US premiere at New York City Opera in spring 2012. Wainwright will also perform some of his other “one off” compositions inspired by his love of opera. This event is open to the public as part of the River to River Festival, which runs from June 16 to July 19.
