Rubberneck is an Urban Bluegrass-influenced collective and is the brainchild of Jan-Paul Campeau and Andy Hermant. The two brought together some of the very best instrumentalists around - all are passionate, talented musicians who have pursued, most successfully, solo careers.

Smoke This! is released on Duke Street Records and distributed by Fontana North/Universal Music. The CD crosses traditional boundaries but stays in “bluegrass character” with banjos, mandolins, fiddles, dobros and pedal steel melding with acoustic and electric guitars, drums and B3. The repertoire is predominantly original material with interesting forays into covers that include Hoyt Axton’s He Was A Friend of Mine, A Minor Breakdown by Bob Yellin of the Greenbriar Boys and let’s not forget those well known bluegrass composers, Gioachino Rossini [William Tell Overture] and brothers, Ed & Brian Pilling of Fludd [Cousin Mary]!!

Rubberneck is set to celebrate at Hugh’s Room in Toronto on October 6 with an all star band playing for the pure joy of it. On stage will be: Andy Hermant, Jan-Paul Campeau, Terry Wilkins, Claude DesJardins, Eric Robertson, Randy Torno, Chris Bartos, Andrew Collins, Laurence Stevenson and Heather Hermant.

Special guests, The White Squirrel Sinners feature aforementioned Chris and Terry with Rick Kurstiuk, Trevor Spot, Marc Roy, Billy Curtis and Mat Elwood.
