Callithump's "New Music Tuesday" w/ RTB2 (Ryan Thomas Becker), Brass Bed, Why Make Clocks, Matt Whipkey from Anonymous American, $4 w/drink specials all night. 17+ welcome!

Brass Bed info: "Brass Bed is a quartet dedicated to the proposition that most music is created equal. From folk rock to psych rock to straight rock, a Brass Bed performance can scratch just about any musical itch. The band keeps close to its 60s rock roots with a doses of noise, volume, and vintage melody, creating a noise that critic Nick Pittman of The Times of Acadiana says sounds like The Flaming Lips crossing paths with the White Stripes.
Fusing experimentation with pop sensibility has been the bands primary interest since it was formed out of a series of recording projects by members Jonny Campos, Peter DeHart, and Christiaan Mader in Lafayette, LA. After producing a full-length home recording in the summer of 2004, the band added the fourth and final ingredient, Nick Lavin, a multi-instrumentalist and fellow Lafayette native. Rachel Worthy of The Vermillion praised the resulting compilation, Brass Bed 4 Sale: "Twelve compelling songs that are well arranged and highlight exceptional young talent."
WHY MAKE CLOCKS: "Formed in 1998 by Dan Hutchison and multi-instrumentalist Brian Wiksell as a duo, WHY MAKE CLOCKS released a 4 song 7" vinyl EP "the TRANSIENT SWIVEL" on their own. It was recorded by Dan and Brian on a 4 track cassette recorder and consisted of 3 songs with Dan playing everything and 1 with Brian playing everything. The band has continually developed their sound, over the years, utilizing various line-ups for live performances and/or recording projects.
As of Aug. 2006, the band finds itself a quartet again, this time with Dan, Boonie, Eric Kennedy, and Will Tarbox. Accompanied by several other musicians, former members and otherwise, the band completed the recording/mixing and mastering of their second full length album, "MIDWESTERN FILM"."
