Royal Canadian Navy ships HMCS Moncton and Summerside in Chicago August 14, 2012

This summer, the Royal Canadian Navy, the US Navy, the US Coast Guard and other partners will be commemorating the bicentennial of the start of the War of 1812 and celebrate the subsequent 200 years of peace and friendship between Canada and the United States. The celebration includes a tour of Great Lakes ports including Milwaukee and Chicago. The HMCS Moncton and Summerside will be at Navy Pier in Chicago from August 15-20. The ships, along with the US Navy ships, are available for public visits from noon to 7 PM on most days that they are docked.
