Join Rosemary Feitelberg, ready-to-wear and sportswear news market editor of Women's Wear Daily, as she analyzes Anne Fogarty's famous book 'Wife Dressing' (1959). Fogarty's opinions on the desirability of keeping an 18-inch waist and her views on women's financial independence may be alarming given the freedom American women have today, but Fogarty herself was significantly liberated, considering the social constraints most women faced during the 1950s.
