... Ghanaian and Western- instruments blended to play pop tunes with distinction.

New York drummer Josh Gilgoff, the first musician to combine Western drums with West African shaker balls -- an instrument called TELEVI – debuts his group Glow in the Drum on December, 30th at The Metropolitan Room.

A trip to Ghana inspired Gilgoff to pioneer an exciting new technique in drumming and develop a new glow version of the hollowed-out gourds that must be seen to be believed!
