Rosaleen is a new musical drama set in Victorian Connecticut. The title character is a highly educated young woman recently married to Dalton Crawford, a wealthy heir with a troubled past. This original opera explores the intense psychological tensions experienced by Rosaleen, Dalton, their family members, and their servants after Rosaleen has a series of unexplained stillbirths. This opera explores modern composition and storytelling while still retaining a connection with traditional operatic tropes. It includes a chamber orchestra, 12 singers, and a night full of music, drama, and dance.
