Rory Stewart Reads From The Places In Between November 1, 2006

Rory Stewart will read from The Places in Between at the San Carlos Library on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 pm. Stewart’s moving, poetic account of his 2002 walk across Afghanistan has been hailed as a travel classic by both the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Stewart describes the heroes and rogues, tribal elders and teenage soldiers, Taliban commanders and foreign-aid workers he met along the way. A book signing will follow the author’s presentation. This program is part of “One Book, One Community: San Mateo County Reads The Kite Runner” and is free and open to the public.
