Afghanistan rhetoric and reality': Rory Stewart will speak about international intervention. He is the author of The Places in Between, which describes his walk across Afghanistan in 2002. His second book, The Prince of the Marshes: And Other Occupational Hazards of a Year in Iraq, chronicles his time as deputy governor of two Iraqi provinces. He is currently chief executive of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, which is working to rebuild Kabul.
