You won't want to miss this great weekend. Oregon State Parks Department, AANR members, Friends of AANR, Volunteers in the Gorge and others combine their efforts to partner for a work party August
5. Join us at Rooster Rock State Park at 9AM to register at the East end of the park. Check out
http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_175.php for more information concerning Rooster Rock State Park. We have all type of jobs available from light duty to those that require a little bit of
nudist "sweat". At 12:30 PM we roast hotdogs to celebrate our accomplishments. AANR-NW supplies the hotdogs, condiments, sauerkraut, and water bottles. Thank you dues paying members.

In the afternoon we car convoy to Mountaindale Sun Resort (MSR) http://www.mountaindalesunresort.com/ where they have a moderately priced evening meal planned for us. MSR has once again generously
offered free ground fees for those of us registered at the Rooster Rock work event. If you are staying overnight you will have a small site fee expense. Please contact MSR to let them know if you plan to participate in the evening meal and free ground fees. Email [email protected] or by phone at 503.647.2449.

Along with the name change from Restful Haven you will notice a ton of changes. The grounds have never looked more beautiful as do the newly refurbished rental units. What has not changed is the welcome and friendliness you feel upon your arrival and stay. Mountaindale Sun Resort has always been committed to AANR-NW Government Affairs Team and contributed much to the successes AANR-NW has had in raising awareness on public lands.

The following morning August 6 we travel to Sauvie Island where we do a litter pickup along the gravel road and parking areas in addition to the beach area. If anyone volunteers to bring a
barbecue we can roast any left over hotdogs from the Rooster Rock work party. In the past we have had plenty of left over water and hotdogs for the day. Hotdogs two days in a row not your idea of a
fun beach day? Pack your own lunch and enjoy a great day at Sauvie Island with friends or new friends.
