"Frankenstein's Old Familiar Faces: Charles Lamb, Mary Shelley and Domestic Horror"


Forming part of the Edge Hill Romanticism Forum, a series of lectures are taking place in March and April 2011.

The lectures will be of interest to those with interests in Gothic and Romantic literature and are presented by invited speakers from universities across the UK who are international experts in their field.

Papers will cover a range of subjects, including "Derrida, Deconstruction and Shelley's Compelling Rhymes", "Blake and Pity", "Romantic Religions" and "Confessions of a Byronic Hero".

The lecture on Wednesday 30th March 2011 is titled "Frankenstein's Old Familiar Faces: Charles Lamb, Mary Shelley and Domestic Horror" and is presented by Dr David Higgins from the University of Leeds.

The event takes place from 5pm-7pm in Room B101 in the Business and Law building at Edge Hill University's Ormskirk Campus.
