Romance in Conflict: NC Wyeth's Civil War January 28, 2011

During his career, N.C. Wyeth was often commissioned to paint Civil War subjects in a variety of styles. 'Romance in Conflict' will explore how Wyeth prepared for these commissions, as well as how his paintings sometimes portrayed the war as a courageous struggle and the combatants as noble warriors.
