Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Rodney Crowell's, music reaches every subgenre of country music: from rock to americana, pop to bluegrass. He gained popularity as the guitarist and writer for Emmylou Harris' Hot Band and wrote hit songs for the Oak Ridge Boys and Bob Seger. The strength of his writing, singing and guitar playing eventually led him to start his own band, The Cherry Bombs. Crowell's heart-tugging ballads and uptempo dance tunes set the standard for Nashville's New Traditionalist movement. He creates songs that tackle classic country themes -- lovin', leavin', and honky tonkin' -- without the musical and verbal cliches.
