The Mountain Play will team up with The Phoenix Theater, a non-profit youth center and music hall, to present Rockin’ the Mountain: a concert of emerging young musician to benefit Mountain Play and their 2010 production “Guys and Dolls” (opening May 23 and running until June 20.) Headlining the concert is pop singer Lara Johnston, daughter of Doobie Brothers Tom Johnston, who also appeared on MTV’s Rock the Cradle. Also performing at Rockin’ the Mountain are Griffin Stoller & Kenny Blacklock, Third Rock, and Crunchy Frog. The concert will be hosted and will feature a performance by Bay Area actress/singer/songwriter and principle actor in “Guys and Dolls” Susan Z.



Who: The Mountain Play Association’s mission is to produce an annual, spectacular, outdoor theatrical experience that nurtures an appreciation of Mt Tamalpais, involves and strengthens the community, and builds on decades of tradition. The Mountain Play is a non-profit (501c3) organization that has been serving the Bay Area community since 1913. www.mountainplay.org



Public Information: Tickets are $10 general admission and can be purchased at the theater’s website www.thephoenixtheater.com or at the door the evening of the concert.
