The fabulous Pepe and the Bottle Blondes, in from their new home base of
New York City, will headline "Rock For Mercy", a benefit bash held at
the Fez Ballroom in Portland on December 5. The event is a benefit for
Mercy Corps, the international relief organization based in Portland.
All proceeds from the event will go to help fund the community
rebuilding efforts of Mercy Corps around the world.

Now based in both Portland and New York, Pepe and the Bottle Blondes
have merged with the New York City Swing Band to form a powerhouse
performance unit. "Rock For Mercy" will be the only local public
performance of Pepe and the Bottle Blondes in December and January.

Also on the bill will be Jamey Hampton, acclaimed Artistic Director of
Portland-based dance company BodyVox. Jamey will be releasing his new CD
of original music, "Chasing Daylight". Hampton and his band will perform
tunes from "Chasing Daylight" and "Throw Caution", his CD released in
2000. "Chasing Daylight" and "Throw Caution" will be available for
purchase at the show. Proceeds from the sale of the CD's on this night
only will go to benefit Mercy Corps.

Alt-marching band March Fourth will be stirring up the soup as well,
with their electrifying blend of performance art and carnival atmosphere
celebratory music.

Admission is $15 advance, $20 day of the show. Tickets are available
through FASTIXX at 503-224-8499 or on the web at fastixx.com.

Come on out and Rock For Mercy.
