From Kyle Howarth:

"Hey all,

Where has the time gone? It's flying by!

Two big things on the agenda (and feel free to add any!) are:

1) Feedback on how to best teach Ruby on Rails to Sophmore CE students? Currently they're using Rails 1.2.6 and Agile Dev. book to modify the example application. There's got to be a better way!

2) Presentation on using the Arduino from the Internet in Ruby by Mike Romero.

Thanks and I'll see you guys in 2 days. RIT Building 70. 8:00pm. 3rd Floor room 3445.

Kyle"

Rochester on Rails is a local user group focused on Ruby and Rails. What're those, you ask? Well:

- Ruby is "a dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and easy to write."

- Ruby on Rails is "an open-source web framework that's optimized for programmer happiness and sustainable productivity. It lets you write beautiful code by favoring convention over configuration."

Rochester on Rails meets monthly at the Golisano College at RIT, and we have a Google Group for discussions. Check us out!
