ROBERT WALTER’S 20TH CONGRESS March 4, 2005

Walter is an original member of the Greyboy Allstars, considered one of the founding fathers of the acid-jazz movement of the mid-90?s, and has worked with such jazz, soul and funk legends as Mike Clark from Herbie Hancock?s Headhunters and Fred Wesley, of James Brown and P-Funk fame. While best known for playing more traditional Jazz, Soul and R&B, his latest album, ?Giving Up The Ghost?, featuring Mike Fratantuno of the Black Eyed Peas on Bass, includes forays into electronic music and dub reggae. Also tonight, the multi-faceted funk ensemble Entropy creates original urban music that inspires life, celebrates diversity, and perpetuates all things funky. In a live setting, Entropy showcases high-energy sets of hip-hop cuts, R&B melodies, layered instrumental compositions, and the straight-ahead, uncut funk from which the band creates a unique musical experience with each performance.
