River City Brass Band presents And the Band Played On September 8, 2009

Under the direction of guest conduct Pat Sheridan, one of the most celebrated tuba soloist ever, the show will feature some of the greatest and favorite hits of all time. Sit back and enjoy songs from Broadway’s “West Side Story” and “Chicago,” the instantly recognizable Strike up the Band, Ride of the Valkyries (made popular by the movie Apocalypse Now), Misty by Pittsburgh’s own Erroll Garner, and of course Ward and Palmer’s The Band Played On in addition to many more. The show will also feature solos by Mr. Sheridan on the tuba and other River City Brass Band members.
