Risa Shoup: Art Lecture December 4, 2008

Risa Shoup has worked for chashama for the past three years to help transform vacant commercial real estate into workspace for artists. Her primary focus has been on emerging multidisciplinary and performing artists, and she has witnessed the aesthetic impact a lack of resources has on these artists. Her talk will focus on the relationship between the artist's intention and the scarcity of resources (particularly space), as well as the important role that video plays in virtually expanding the artist's space.
