The Valentine Richmond History Center, the only museum dedicated to collecting, preserving and interpreting the region’s 400-year history, invites the Richmond community to learn about and comment on content for a pending Richmond History Gallery. The History Center intends for Richmond residents to see their lives reflected in the Richmond History Gallery, even as they learn something new, and therefore considers public comment to be critical to the planning process. This meeting represents the final public input stage on this project, with one additional public meeting occurring November 16, 2010. The discussion will be led by Project Manager and Historian Edward D. Ragan, who will present an overview of developing themes and sample objects. The exhibit designer also will present preliminary design ideas. Light refreshments will be provided. Galleries open at 5:30pm. Program begins at 6:00pm.
