The Richmond Comedy Coalition is teaming up with local personalities to present their all-improvised monthly show series. It's live and totally unscripted comedy created on the spot based on true stories from RVA’s most interesting people.

The improvisers will be hearing their guests’ stories for the first time onstage. What unfolds afterwards is as much a mystery to them as it is to you. All the characters, all the scenes - it’s... all made up as they go along, creating a show so funny you’d swear it was scripted (but you know it’s not).

This month, the RCC welcomes Miss Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside to the Gallery5 stage.

Magnolia, the "Southern Fried Socialite" of Richmond, is the trash talkin' hostess of RVA’s monthly burlesque variety show, Richmond Varietease. The flame-haired bombshell is sure to melt your butter with her clever performances, elaborate costumes and salty one-liners. Magnolia was just named "Best Drag Performer in Richmond" by the readers of Style weekly, and her Trailer Court counterpart, Miss Esta Bunny, will tell you that she's "a breath of fresh air in the Richmond drag community.” You can follow her "Bourbon Ramblings" at http://www.magnoliajpb.com.
