Richie Spice’s appeal comes from the strength of his deeply-held Rastafarian beliefs. With socially-conscious lyrics, brilliant vocals, and rich instrumentation, he epitomizes the best of roots reggae. “Spicer” has become a reggae staple, as he is a regular performer at most of the Carribean festivals, including, Reggae Sunsplash, White River Reggae Bash, and Rebel Salute. With a host of albums to his credit, Spicer’s most recent releases are Gideon Boot and Africa Calling. Spice also appears on reggae compilation, These are Serious Times.
