DENVER, CO DECEMBER 11, 2008: “Alto Madness” BeBop jazz legend Richie Cole and Jose’ Madera, leader/arranger of the Latin Giants of Jazz (formerly Tito Puente Orchestra) will appear with Janine Santana, a Denver/Boulder based Conguera and Latin Jazz/Soul/Funk artist bringing their unique show to Dazzle Jazz, 930 Lincoln St, Denver, CO on January 8th and 9th, 2009 for some high energy sets at 7:00PM and 9:00PM each evening. Janine’s music is “...highly recommended for any fan of Afro-Cuban music or Latin-jazz” According to recent reviews by Radio Indy magazine, “[she] combines traditional and authentic Afro-Cuban rhythms with mainstream jazz and elements of funk to create a exceptional, vibrant sound. The musicianship is of the highest order, with great horn solos and bebop lines floating on top of Santana's rhythmic and intricate percussion patterns”.
