Widely regarded as the heir to the mantle of his teacher Rudolf Serkin in the Mozart-Beethoven-Schubert-Brahms repertory, pianist Richard Goode is hailed for the tremendous emotional power, depth and sensitivity of his playing – a rare combination of grandness and humility, boldness and depth. Returning to the Perelman Theater after a year’s sabbatical, Goode begins his program with an all-Mozart first half followed by works of Beethoven and Chopin – a performance that promises to rank among the highlights of the PCMS season.
