Red Run embraces the spirit of its atmospheric score by the German composer Heiner Goebbels. Electric guitar gives a tinge of rock influence and piano and brass burst into passages of all-out jazz - but these episodes shift gear sharply into darker, more shadowy passages.

Alston’s spectacular, Volumina to Gyorgy Ligeti’s magical, elusive and powerful score. Ligeti’s cavernous organ-piece thunders round the dancers, who dart back and forth, half-hidden in the shadows, suddenly emerging into rushes of intense light.

The Devil in the Detail, Alston's brand new work, is a light-hearted, light-footed celebration of sheer elegance and wit.
