Revolution Track Cycling Event October 20, 2007

REVOLUTION was created in 2003 by Face Partnership and the Manchester Velodrome to provide a new style of cycling event in the UK, an event that would appeal to cycling and non-cycling fans and change the way people think about the sport.

The Revolution is all about entertainment. The action packed race programme features some of the world’s best road and track cyclists and includes unique events that test them to their limits.

The racing is fast and the competition intense with cyclists all over the world now using the Revolution to make their mark against Olympic champions such as Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins.

Each event is different with feature races planned around the star riders and themed according to the nations who are racing. Grudge matches and head to heads are always a crowd pleaser in an adrenalin fuelled mix of sprint and endurance racing.

To enhance the experience there is plenty of added entertainment and refreshments following the formula of the beer festival style six day races on the continent. Food outlets, bars, interactive exhibitions, wine tasting stands all help to create a unique experience unlike any other night at the races.

The Revolution is now getting ready for its fifth season and continues to capacity crowds to the Manchester Velodrome.
