Respectable Street, at 518 Clematis St., offers a haven in for alternative music fans. It has booked such well known bands as the Red Hot Chili Peppers + Death Cab for Cutie before they made it "big". Patrons enjoy the atmosphere + the indie-alternative acts at the club that is credited with the rebirth of downtown West Palm Beach. 24 years ago, an Indie Film student + restorer of commercial buildings named Rodney Mayo opened a music spot in a former Salvation Army soup kitchen. At that unlikely moment, a city's nightlife scene was born. That city was and is West Palm Beach.

This Saturday, August 27, from 8pm they will celebrate their 24th Anniversary with a phenomenal Block Party featuring the L.A. new wave band "Missing Persons", offering *Free Pizza + Open Bar* from 8-10pm.
