Resonance Jazz Celebrates National Chamber Music Month May 11, 2013

The Bay Area’s Resonance Jazz was selected to perform at the Berkeley Arts Festival on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in celebration of National Chamber Music Month, a nationwide celebration of small ensemble performances. Resonance is a unique collaboration of jazz and classical musicians, and is the only jazz ensemble in Northern California with this unusual instrumentation. Resonance captivates audiences with its singular, lush sound punctuated by driving rhythms and improvised solos. Members of the octet have performed with many legendary artists, such as Dizzy Gillespie, Louie Bellson, Jethro Tull, Oakland Jazz Choir, Mingus Amungus, Gloria Estefan, and the California Pops Orchestra.
