Report from the Frontlines: From West Africa to the U.S.
with Chernoh Alpha M. Bah

Former child soldier, journalist and political leader Chernoh Alpha M. Bah will join Uhuru Movement leaders Omavi Bailey and Diop Olugbala at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia on Wednesday, June 6th for a "report from the frontlines of the African liberation struggle".

At the age of 12, Bah fought in the civil war in Sierra Leone, going on to become an award winning journalist. He is now leader of the Africanist Movement, whose 80,000 members in Sierra Leone, Guinea-Conakry, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Liberia seek to regain African indigenous control over African mineral and agricultural resources.

In his Philadelphia address, Bah will report on the roles of foreign governments and corporations in the conflict and present his organization's program for the nationalization of mining industries and democratization of the country.

Bah will share the platform at the First Unitarian Church with Uhuru Movement leaders Omavi Bailey and Diop Olugbala. They will address current world events and the campaign for the unification of Africa into a single nation.

The June 6th event is free and open to the public. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. with culture. The First Unitarian Church is located at 2125 Chestnut Avenue in Center City, Philadelphia.
