Music Rhythm and Theory Workshop for Salsa Dancers

No previous salsa experience required.

Satisfies the Rhythm Requirement to enter into Salsa Essentials (Level 3)

Salsa music is unique to the American ear. Usually it's played by an orchestra of 10 to 15 musicians who fill the air with a complex mix of harmony and syncopation. Many find it difficult to hear the downbeat or the "one" and give up in frustration. In this class we will identify the clave, tumbao, montuno and other instruments that will help find the downbeat and the "one".

3 hour workshop. 6:00pm - 9:00pm

$30 per person
