Reno Tahoe Comedy presents Mark G. May 21, 2011

Reno Tahoe Comedy presents the Biggest Little Comedy Show at the Pioneer Underground located next to the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts at 100 South Virginia, St., Reno, NV. We will have three shows this weekend. The first show is on Friday at 8:00pm and we’ll have two shows on Saturday: the first is at 8:00pm and the second is an ‘R’ rated show at 10:00pm. No drink minimum. Suggested age: 16 and over with parental guidance.
Reno Tahoe Comedy is proud to announce that all three shows are headlined by comedian, model and actor, Mark G. Mark G’s comedic journey started in the wonderful city of San Francisco, California, where he began performing wherever there was a microphone. He wanted to add more versatility to his comedy, so he enrolled in the world famous improvisation institute in San Francisco, Bay Area Theater Sports (BATS). Mark G gives a lot of credit to the school for helping him improve his ability to weave his material with improvisation and the audience’s experience for a, fresh-out-of-the oven act! Alongside Mark G as your host for the weekend is comedian, Dan Edwards. A 35-year veteran of corporate America, Dan Edwards has taken his unique perspectives into the world of entertainment. His analytical observations provide both a humorous and insightful look at life’s everyday trials and tribulations. Dan draws on his wide range of personal interests, including sailing and SCUBA diving to create his material. This allows him to focus his routines for audiences of very specific special interests as well as being able to touch large audiences on a personal level.
Friday night’s guest comedian is Rody Stains. For the last five years Rody has been performing in the Reno, Nevada area. He has had guest spots at the University of Nevada, the Funny Bone, and more. He’s been a guest comic for Mark Yaffee, Adam Stone, and Rick D’Elia.

Saturday night’s 8:00pm guest comedian is Shane Tolomeo. Shane was involved in improv in high school, and since then has hosted drag shows here in Reno, and is currently one of the stars of The Utility Players, voted Best Comedy Troupe in Reno (RN&R 2010). Shane's known for his unique storytelling ability, and his spot-on physical humor. He's also a huge fan of comic books, but Marvel only!

Saturday night’s 10:00pm performance is ‘R’ rated and welcome’s the return of Mark G. and Dan Edwards delivering comedy that is certainly not suitable for children. Joining them as the ‘R’ rated guest comedian is Jenny PezDeSpencer. Jenny has been a local Reno comedian for a few years until she recently had a spell cast on her by the warlock known as Charlie Sheen. At this point she found that she was no longer funny but oddly enough, when Sheen quit doing drugs, her humor returned and now she will be guesting for you to enjoy.
