The Crescent
Salford, England M5 4WT

Venue/Location: The Old Fire Station, University of Salford, M5 4WT
Event type: Short Courses
Description:

A series of technical seminars has been developed to support individuals and organisations with the implementation of effective product and process innovations in the delivery of retrofit.

This third workshop in the series will look at renewable heat.

Moving away from fossil fuels will create a need to generate heat and hot water, the major part of our domestic energy use in new ways. This means the adoption of technologies such as heat pumps, biomass and solar thermal technologies.

Given the introduction of the Renewable Heat Incentive to support such technologies, we will see an increased number of these types of installations.

At this seminar we will discuss the technical issues and some of the lessons that have been learned from existing installations.

Who should attend?

This event is for anyone with an interest or is involved in the retrofit of domestic properties. This includes asset owners, such as social and private landlords, local authorities, installation companies, consultants and providers of retrofit solutions. This should also include any decision-makers who need to gain a better understanding of one of the major issues for domestic retrofit.
