'Remediate/Re-vision: Public Artists Engaging the Environment' reflects Wave Hill's continuing interest in art that engages environmental issues. A dozen remediative artworks sited in the U.S. and abroad, in settings as diverse as parks, water treatment facilities, waterfronts and city roofs, are represented through video, drawings, diagrams, photos, montages and models. The exhibition explores the role of artists as instigators, collaborators, activists and designers, raising awareness of such concerns as watershed fragility, industrial and natural history, personal responsibility and ecological balance.
