110 West 14th Street (at Lonsdale, faces the Civic Plaza)
North Vancouver, British Columbia

BIFF (Burrard Inlet Fan Fellowship, a weekly meet-up of science fiction & fantasy fans) inaugurates a series of seminars on costuming with Laurie Sluchinski of Carol's Costume Corner giving a talk on remedial costuming for people who can't sew a stitch.

Anyone who can sew or who have already created their own costumes are encouraged to come out in costume, in order to give Laurie lots of examples to refer to for her talk.

COST: Free to attend (though BIFF has an informal agreement with the restaurant that everyone who attends will order something)

RSVP: Not necessary; just show up. This is a regular Friday gathering. BIFF is the group in front of the restaurant's wall screen.

About BIFF: Burrard Inlet Fan Fellowship is a weekly Friday informal gathering in North Vancouver for people who are fans of science fiction, fantasy, or things related, no matter how casual the interest. So, if you live in North or West Vancouver (or the Sunshine Coast, or for that matter, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Richmond, or anywhere in the Lower Mainland), and would like to hang out with other fans on a Friday night, drop in to the Eighties Restaurant starting at 6:30 pm.
