The San Fernando Relay for Life is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It raises awareness and funds for cancer research, prevention programs and patient services.
There will be music/ dance/ and food all profits to benefit the org.

The San Fernando Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight event where teams of people raise money, then take turns walking or running around a track for 24 hours.

“The Relay for Life event is overnight because cancer never sleeps,” said Event Chair Adriana Gomez. “The San Fernando community stays up one night a year to fight back.”

While not walking or running, team members and supporters camp out enjoying food, live entertainment, camaraderie and the satisfaction that they are making a difference.

Opening ceremonies kick-off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 12 with a survivors’ lap following at 9:30 a.m. Later in the evening, a luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. honors those fighting the disease and those that have lost the battle to cancer.

The San Fernando Relay for Life is now in its fifth year and has raised over $200,000 for the American Cancer Society. For more information, visit their website or e-mail [email protected].
