The little Dublin of CT
Join us in celebrating the genius of James Joyce by reading/discussing his works at an Open Mic and through some wonderful Irish Music.

Join a community reading of Ulysses with us to celebrate June 16th, 1904, the day Leopold Bloom strode through the shops, streets, cafes and at least one house of ill-repute in Dublin, all the while his thoughts and musings rambling along with him. Dress in Edwardian costume, bring your gorgonzola sandwich and glass of burgundy, toss a cake of lemon scented soap in your pocket and fill your mind with as many Yesses as you can and recite your favorite part from Ulysses, or any other Joyce work!

Traditional Irish music played on wooden flute, concertina, whistles and guitar.
Connecticut based Full Gael performs traditional Irish music, including a variety of jigs, reels, and songs, from Irish, Scottish and American traditions as well as the Canadian Maritime provinces. The band includes Will O’Hare (flute, whistles, vocals), Gary Palmer (guitar and vocals), and Ben Gagliardi (concertina, whistles, vocals). Our performances are tailored to fit your needs, whether it is a Celtic festival, stage concert, house concert or private party. We also offer a unique presentation blending Celtic Halloween music and lore. We have performed throughout Southern New England and at many venues and festivals in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, including the South Street Seaport in NYC, Old Sturbridge Village, Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots and Shoots Festival, Wind on the Bay Festival, and the Portsmouth (RI) Art Festival.
