Registration for Spring Museum Studio Art Classes March 7, 2008

Registration will open at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 7 for Spring Session art classes for children and adults at the Las Cruces Museum of Art. Class schedules and registration forms are available at the Museum and on the website http://museums.las-cruces.org. Classes will begin the week of March 31 and run through May 16.
Classes for adults include ceramics, clay sculpture, drawing, traditional oil painting, weaving, and digital photography for beginners or intermediate/advanced students. A new class exploring watercolor and pastel techniques is also offered (pervious drawing experience suggested).

Classes for young artists include ceramics for 4 5, 6 8, and 9 12 years olds; and drawing and painting for students ages 6 - 12. This years Spring Break Arts Experience is March 24 28, with sessions for ages 6-8 and 9-12. Projects include ceramics, sculpture, and watercolor.

The Museums Saturday Studio for Kids is open every Saturday for kids ages 5 12 from 10 11:30 am. The cost is $5 per student, and there is no pre-registration. Classes are limited to 10 students, first come first served. Sign-up begins at 9:00 am. Media varies.
