Combining technical wizardry with a fresh, bold approach, Regina Carter is a transcendent voice of contemporary jazz violin. Equally at home playing with Itzhak Perlman, Dolly Parton, Billy Joel, and the Atlantic Symphony, Carter seamlessly blends jazz fusion, percussive passages, swing, classical melodies, and Southern-style fiddle.

For the “Reverse Thread” set Carter will perform a combination of jazz and African music, celebrating the culture and art of Africa with music from Mali, Senegal, and other areas. The instrumentation for this performance will include violin, accordion, bass, drums, and a kora (a 21-string harp-lute of West African origin).
