Reggae Legend- Pato Banton Live! March 30, 2013

Pato Banton, the master of feel-good reggae, will light up The Sunflower Center, a vegan restaurant and community center in Petaluma on March 30th. A native of Birmingham, Pato is not only a legendary reggae artist, but also a human-rights activist and ordained minister. Like an alternative Matisyahu, he succeeds in drawing from his beliefs and sends a message that contains no dogma - only love. It is because of this that his shows are among the most intimate in the industry. The special way he props himself at the edge of the stage and croons to the audience brings listeners back time and time again, and it is even reported that he has paused an entire show to marry a couple that couldn't wait a second longer! Together with his band, the Now Generation, Pato Banton will bring together all religions and all ages to create an intensely gratifying musical experience.

It can be said, then, that The Sunflower Center will more than just a vegan restaurant, a hangout spot, center for learning or small music venue that night. With Pato Banton in the house it will be a communal engine working to tie in all facets of the human experience with song, dance and food. Pato's message and ours is the same: "One World Is Enough," "Stay Positive," and our vegan, gluten-free and primarily raw food will pare with his catchy choruses, astute lyrics and intimate stage presence.
