Refresh Jacksonville - Basic CSS layouts May 18, 2006

Our May meeting will take place at Paul Figura's studio located right next door to nGen Works.

We'll be getting together for the first of several sessions on CSS.

This first meeting will cover a basic CSS layout for a simple 2 column design with a header & footer. The example will be shown as a static width layout. We will also show how to modify the styles to create a liquid layout from the same code.

In this session we will also cover:

* the basics of CSS
* the basics of XHTML
* font sizing with CSS
* positioning with CSS

This example will be used over the next few sessions to expand upon and add complexity including image replacement and further styling of individual page elements.
