One Memorial Drive
Cambridge, Massachusetts 02142

This month our speaker is Matthew Oliphant, Senior Interaction Designer & Usability Specialist at Mathworks, who will be presenting Usability: Getting it Right the First Time.

There will be food & drinks thanks to Slim Kiwi, Boston Web Studio & Microsoft Startup Labs:

There will also be a raffle for books thanks to the kind people over at O'Reilly, who have donated a copy of Designing Interfaces, Designing Web Navigation & Information Architecture for the World Wide Web.

Speaking of raffles, the fine folks over at Clearleft have offered up a few licenses for Silverback, their guerrilla usability testing application, which we'll also draw names for.

Be sure to bring a few business cards to hand out as well as one to put in a hat for all of these great giveaways.

Microsoft Startup Labs is located in Cambridge, a few blocks from the Kendall Square T stop, on the 10th & 11th floors of One Memorial Drive. For more on the New England Research & Development Center in Cambridge, visit their new website:

To get to the meeting space, you'll have to register at the 1st floor desk as a guest of Microsoft, and then check in on the 11th floor. Parking is available and will be validated (make sure you mention it when you arrive though).

Which is better, Red line to Kendall or Green Line to Lechmere?

notasausage

Red Line to Kendall is definitely the best way, as the building is literally 2 blocks from the T stop. There's also parking available, which I just updated in the details above.

I'll be driving in from the Salem, Beverly, Danvers area if anybody wants a ride. Shoot me an email: marcamos at gmail dot com. Raffi + Old Dirty Bastard remixes will be enjoyed during the drive.

Actually, nay; my wife needs the car. I'll be training it in.

Ari Herzog

Wanna train in together, Marc? Or, I'll meet ya at North Station and we can grab a quick bite?

my status may change - i'm watching the weather closely.

i should clarify - i would be driving in from Rindge, NH. conditions in boston shouldn't be that bad. :)

notasausage

Weather shouldn't be a problem tonight. The weather people are only calling for an inch of either snow, rain, or a mix of both at most.

notasausage... zomg. THE WEATHER WAS HORRID! I tried to make it but I couldn't figure out where the place was. Only after coming back did I realize there was a weird green circular arrow that might've clued me in on how to get there. In all the weather and mayhem I decided to just turn back and go home as I was getting late for the talk anyways.

Clearer directions please? I had no clue and my GPS wasn't helping at all.
