On Wednesday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m., REELTIME Independent Film and Video Forum presents, THE FOREST FOR THE TREES (2006, 57 minutes), a film by Bernadine Mellis. Judi Bari, a passionate environmentalist, valued trees and the livelihood of timber workers alike. Her vision invited trouble: her car was bombed and she was labeled a terrorist. Her work, and her attorney's dedication to clearing her name, offer an inspiring look at the risks and rewards in the pursuit of justice. Guest speaker, Professor Bernadine Dohrn from Northwestern University’s Children and Family Justice Center, will lead a discussion after the screening.
