Redwood Symphony is an all-volunteer orchestra dedicated to the performance of ambitious, contemporary repertoire, as well as the great orchestral classics (see performance history). The innovative programming and emphasis on education are two reasons so many of the most talented musicians from throughout the San Francisco Bay Area volunteer their time to play, and why our audience and local critics are so enthusiastic.

The Redwood Symphony will be performing selections from West Side Story, E.T. and Lord of the Rings, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Musik, Sousa Marches, Strauss' Beautiful Blue Danube Waltz and much more.

For the classic music lover in everyone, Redwood City's Classical Music Series invites you to relax to the sounds of the Opera, the Symphony and more this season. The series launches on June 4th with Opera San José, then continues on June 25th with the innovative Redwood Symphony. You won’t want to miss these free classical concerts, performed outdoors on beautiful Courthouse Square for your musical enjoyment.

Along with our Classical Music series, other exciting FREE evening events include: Jazz on Main on Mondays, Dancing on the Square on Tuesdays, Movies on the Square on Thursdays, and Music on the Square on Fridays. Other ongoing events in the coming months include six special outdoor exhibits featuring Art on the Square, as well as weekend Target Family Days.
