Ray, a retired thief, is confined during the day by a rare skin condition. He is cared for by his son, Terry, whom he strictly controls while merrily filling the air with accounts of lost love and past misadventures. When Terry meets a young run-away and invites her back home, she immediately ignites passions in Ray which propel Terry from the flat. But after a night of revelry, Terry comes back -- ready with the truth about the old days.
