Red Leaves and Frog Feet--the Literary Japanese Maple. As a special program tied in with the Berkeley Art Museum's Exhibition " Flowers of the Four Seasons: Ten Centuries of Art from the Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture" the Garden is offering tours and lectures on nature in Japanese art. On Thursday, October 14, 2010 we welcome Liza Dalby, celebrated author and anthropologist specializing in Japanese culture and Berkeley resident. She will be speaking on Japanese literature and art and the use of the natural world to evoke meaning and metaphor.
