Get yer Red Hots, indeed!

Dottie Lux' Red Hots Burlesque is proud to present the comedic talents of Selena Luna and Ian Harvie to an already stellar line-up. They have expressed interest in adding to their current tour, time on the Red Hots stage.

Selena Luna

Also known as The Pocket Venus, Bobby Pinz, Miss Luna's striking look has taken her to the world of high fashion. She has been featured in numerous international fashion editorials. Luna has modeled the fashions of designers such as Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, and has posed for photographers David La Chappelle, Matthew Ralston and Austin Young, in addition to working on stage under the direction of legendary couture designer Thierry Mugler.

In 2007, Miss Luna won critical notice for her featured performance in comedian Margaret Cho's Off-Broadway variety show, "The Sensuous Woman"; The New York Times called her "a polished spitfire," while NY Metromix praised her performance as "smart and endearing."

Last year, Luna could be seen co-starring alongside Margaret Cho in Cho's new VH1 comedy series, "The Cho Show". This coming year, Luna can also be seen in a supporting character role in Lionsgate's January release of "My Bloody Valentine 3D" and has a role in the new Crackle web series, "Star-ving' opposite David Faustino. Luna has successfully performed two sold-out solo shows in Los Angeles, "Pocket Venus" and "Say It to My Face!" and is currently developing her one-woman and doing stand-up performances throughout California.

Ian Harvie

After moving to the West Coast in early 2006, he further expanded his horizons by producing and appearing in his own self-titled, critically lauded "The Ian Harvie Show", which has been running since April 2007 at Largo in Los Angeles. A post-modern, offbeat and very queer combination of talk-show and variety entertainment, "The Ian Harvie Show" is a grab bag treat which features not just brilliant stand-up by Harvie and his guests, but also compelling and seriously entertaining in-depth interviews with talented performers like Alan Cumming, actresses Jorja Fox and Jane Lynch, and award winning adult film star and Trans-man Buck Angel.

He was part of the permanent cast for The Beautiful Tour with Margaret Cho, in addition to her The Sensuous Woman Show, including 2007's off-Broadway run, and is part of the upcoming, MANOLOGUES Workshop Show tour.

No matter who you are, who you love or where you come from, Ian Harvie will make you feel as though you are family. Everyone will be able to relate to his observations about life, relationships, and the routine challenges we all face from day-to-day. His wickedly funny stories are couched in an amiable personality that could put any audience at ease, while his folksy, ingenuous delivery almost - but not quite - tempers his zinger punch lines, making them not just hilarious but seriously twisted. Even if he wasn't so witty, without even trying, Ian could set an audience on it's ear, opening up new realms of irony. He could be your brother, your best friend's boyfriend or a merely a clean-cut preppie trying his hand at stand-up, but he's not. In fact, there's a good reason Frontiers Magazine referred to Ian as "Quite possibly the most unique stand up comic in the country" Ian's not just a queer comedian- he's the world's first transgendered comic which, when put into context, will make his anecdotes about his own phobia of public restrooms all the more side-splitting!
